Background
Chris made the switch from a competitive downhill Mountain Biker to Rally Driver in 2002. When inspired by the new budget Peugeot 205 Challenge, Chris built a Peugeot 205 1.6 Gti eligible for the series. His first event was a single venue rally at the disused Binbrook Airbase where he instantly made an impression finishing a strong 2nd in the Beginners Class, a feat duplicated on his second event at Blyton Rallycross. A mixed career of highs and lows followed with highlights including 1st Beginner on the Swansea Bay Rally, fifth overall and 2nd overall in the Pirelli National (2004/05) and won the first four events of the 2006 championship.

Chris's potential did not go un-noticed as he was invited by the Bill Gwynne Rally School to join their Junior Team, and the organisers of the 205 Challenge rewarded Chris's determination with an expenses paid trip to Sweden for their end of season ice driving experience. During Chris's short competitive career, he has been recognised by some leading names in the sport as talent of the future. His driving talent and professional attitude has no doubt pushed Chris to the forefront of the Peugeot Scholarship.

As well as competing, Chris had prepared his own car and co-ordinates the team for all events, also supporting fellow competitors when Chris is not competing. Chris had suspended his 2005 challenge, focusing efforts and budget to 2006 where he continued in the Peugeot 205 Challenge sucessfully taking the overall honours.
